Located just 4 1/2 miles from Interstate 5 from the Mt. Shasta City exit is this beautiful lake and campground. It is great for a rest stop while traveling Interstate 5 in very Northern California, or a great destination for a nice get away! The campground has lots of amenities, everything from the ubiquitous camp store, a casual restaurant, lodging, swimming area, fishing area, boating area and hiking trails to mention a few. There is a small charge for day use, $1 per person at last visit, but on the opposite side of the lake is a free public access area. This beautiful area is only a few miles from the famous Mt.
